Sylvester Anfang II
"In the time since the release of "Kosmies Slachtafval", Silvester Anfang have grown into SYLVESTER ANFANG II, a more psychedelic beast, a more tangible creature in some ways, but one that defies and confounds standard classification. Taking their cue from Krautrock communes of yore, the Flemish troubadours have expanded both ranks and minds and now present this giant new opus for general consumption. With cultish numbers swollen with new blood in the guise of Stef Anus (Kiss the Anus of a Black Cat), Father Sloow (Sloow Tapes pontiff), Bram (Ignatz) and Clay Ruby (Davenport, Burial Hex), the sound is much fuller and more reminiscent of Krautish dope jams then ever before. Ruby's vocal additions create a whole new universe for the band, rather like if Dr John had been born in a plague pit in Flanders, and the resulting tracks 'The Devil Always Shits in the Same Graves' parts 1 & 2 are masterful examples of Flemish voodoo boogie.
The new material is more hypnotic than before, and the band are sure to add new members to their fan cult as they slink across Europe like a fog in the coming months. Sure to upset parents and upstanding citizens with their occult themes and liberal European-style artwork, SYLVESTER ANFANG II reach new levels of consciousness with their mantras of goat worship and the orthodoxy of denial that states "Only analog is real". Dust off your robes, sharpen the sacrificial blade, order in some Trappist beers... Tune in, turn on, evolve."

Half Makeshift
It's a shame, it's such a shame! Nathan Michael aka Half Makeshift is a mastermind when it comes to create musical landscapes that combine wonderfull ambient / post-rockish fields with heavy crushing drone woods. Unearthly Trance
"Unearthly Trance is a sludge metal/doom metal trio from Long Island/Brooklyn New York, composed of guitarist-vocalist Ryan Lipynsky, bassist Jay Newman, and drummer Darren Verni. They were formed in 2000 and have released material (5 Eps and 4 full-lengths) on leading labels of the genre like Southern Lord, Rise Above Records and Relapse Records to which they are still signed today. They are also considered by critics one of the leading acts in the doom metal scene and have been touring constantly since their foundation, having shared tours with notable bands such as Sunn O))) , Pelican, Electric Wizard and Morbid Angel. Their latest album, "Electrocution" has been recently released by Relapse Records, and was produced by Sanford Parker, leader of fellow Relapse label mates and post-metal experimentalists Minsk.
Although categorised as doom metal, Unearthly Trance's music draws inspiration from other forms of extreme music as well like black metal, death metal, crust punk and drone music. Their song are usually quite long, past the five minute mark and build slowly and oppressively with pounding drums and slow, loud and distorted guitars and bass buried under thick layers of feedback. The vocals are usually very harsh under the form of painful, distorted screams, and the lyrics usually deal with themes of hate, death and the occult. Unearthly Trance also ventures into more experimental sounds from time to time like ambient and noise music, giving their music a more introspective, dark and progressive vibe."

Methadrone
This is the project name of New Jersey based multi instrumentalist and voice of Methadrone Craig Pillard. The often very noisy drone and doom soundscapes this guy is creating can be reffered to influences like Swans, Godflesh, Black Sabbath, Death in June or Laibach. The first two releases are sounding very harsh and full of noise while "Sterility" shows the softer side of Mr.Pillard.

Uploaded this last night while I couldn't realy sleep until five a.m.
Múm is very hard to describe for me. Icelandic bands allways are. Based in Reykjavik the music is mostly a soft and gentle mix between ambient, electronic and accoustic instruments. The spooky female vocals put a special touch on the sound of Múm. During the record session for "Summer make Good" the band used to spent a lot of time in a lightning tower at the sea....
Get in toch with mum at their mysapce and purchase some stuff if you like what you here. I put up all their studio albums.

Shellac
Meet Shellac of North America!
The band was founded by Steve Albini, Todd Trainer and Robert Weston in Chicago in the year 1992. Steve Albini? Do I have to add anything? This guy produced some of the best bands from all kinds of the alternative music scene. Some names: Neurosis, Motorpsycho, McLusky, Nirvana, Pixies, Oxbow, Mono or Guided by Voices. I bet you are impressed by all these names now! His own band Shellac creates a minimalistic mix of post-hardcore and noise rock sounds.
I uploaded all studio records that have been released by Shellac till today. I do not include the 7" singles and splits. If you have them, drope me a line! Visit them on myspace and buy their stuff!

AmenRa
Feel free to enter the church of AmenRa....
AmenRa is a doomy sludge band from Belgium and just kicks ass with every chord they provide. The old stuff on Mass I and Mass II is just raw hardcore featured sludge before AmenRa turned around on Mass III and Mass IIII to play just straight epic sludge. Feel the crushing anthem "Am Kreuz".....

The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble
Seems like we will be promoting some bands from the benelux countries tonight.
The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble is a collective of musicians which create music that can be described as Bohrend und der Club of Gore took some pills and started to play under an apple tree in your garden. Jazz is mixed with ambient and sometimes even some post-rockish influences find the way into the songs.
I put on the two records I own from them. You can visit the band on their very own homepage and purchase the good tunes in this place.
